Plus 120% Lino brings Italian elegance to King Street
The new Meyer Vogl Gallery is the first art gallery on Daniel Island.
ISLAND ART
Meyer Vogl Gallery has expanded its contemporary art portfolio, opening a second location on Daniel Island. Owners Laurie Meyer and Marissa Vogl, along with director Katie Geer, will display works by the same roster of nearly 20 painters and sculptors as the downtown space, including Anne Darby Parker, Susan Altman, and Nancy Hoerter. Geer says they plan to host artist talks and other cultural events at the new location, the first art gallery on Daniel Island. “We already feel like the gallery is a part of the community, and we‘re looking forward to becoming even more embedded by offering our space as a place to gather and soak up art—be it visual, musical, theatrical, or literary.” This month, Meyer Vogl is hosting its second annual works onpaper exhibit, ”Good on Paper,” at both sites.
